Mission, Aims and Objectives

Supporting Humanity is a mental health and bereavement Charity that was set up in 2020. In a short space, Supporting Humanity has already helped people beyond their expectations at their most vulnerable time and empowered them to move forward positively.

Supporting Humanity aims to help empower, support and uplift all members of the community. We aim to address some of the most neglected and overlooked issues faced by our community today: Mental Health and Bereavement.

A problem shared is a problem halved and that is at the heart of what we aim to do; support people and provide a safe place to turn to and provide vital resources to those in need. We provide comfortable and accessible emotional support to those suffering bereavement and work towards breaking the stigma surrounding mental health that is so apparent in many communities.

Where Did It All Begin?

The Covid-19 pandemic has left many people vulnerable and isolated. Supporting Humanity mobilised a community by bringing together local businesses and residents. Our vision has helped our community to overcome difficulties by providing essential resources to those most vulnerable and delivered over 94,000 meals during some of the most challenging periods we have faced. This proved vital in maintaining the wellbeing of the elderly and the functioning of NHS services – something recognised by Her Majesty the Queen.
